A UK Roadmap for Neuromorphic Computing: 2050 Vision

A 2050 vision for UK neuromorphic computing, identifying the priorities and actions needed to drive innovation, adoption and growth.

Back to projects

The UK has genuine research strength in neuromorphic computing – brain-inspired technologies that process information faster and using a fraction of the power of conventional computing. But research strength alone won't secure the UK's place in a fast-moving global race. This roadmap sets out what it will take to change that.

Developed with more than 100 stakeholders from academia, industry, government and the wider innovation ecosystem, it charts a path to 2050 across five strategic themes and 26 aims, with concrete actions for government, industry and academia to take now, in 2030, in 2040 and beyond.
